Aim: Recording an album with some beautiful and amazing musicians, fusing old music with the new and featuring an unusual but amazing ensemble!
I’ve been so lucky to have such immense support in my musical development over the last few years, and it’s so special to me that I can finally record this album to share some of the ideas that have been brewing for some time!
I feel so lucky everyday to play an instrument which is simultaneously so old but at the same time so unexplored, and lucky that I get to exist in a world where I’m not refined or expected to exist within a single genre - and I aim that my writing will always reflect the musical freedom which I aim to emulate through my playing! The last few weeks and months have been a time of exploration for me and learning the sounds I didn’t even realise my instrument could make, and I can’t wait to see what comes out of this album and this exploration of how early music and new writing can come together.
Needless to say, recording an album isn’t cheap(..!), and it is so important to me that I am able to bring the musicians who can help me make this album what it deserves to be, and none of this is possible without financial support!
Every pound/zloty/whatever else you feel like donating in is one pound closer to making the album a reality, and being able to bring more amazing musicians on for this project!
