On the 17th April 2022 we'd raised £10 with 1 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
To build a cost effective mobile facility &transport with beds and shower and kitchen for those with severe humanitarian needs
by Ukraine aid truck in London, Greater London, United Kingdom
On the 17th April 2022 we'd raised £10 with 1 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
I'm Steve a qualified hospitality manager and my friend is Salvatore an Italian chef.
Together we will drive from England and do a tour across Europe to seek those most in need, by linking up with various local charities we will direct our mobile aid truck to help people who aren't able to escape the horror by using trains etc. We will be able to transport a family who have a need for transport with disabled access, food and hygiene facilities and a safe comfortable journey ANYWHERE they wish to be taken,
we will be able to
- feed anyone we encounter( with any dietary requirements)
-wash and dry their clothing ( maybe enable a clothing donation scheme if funds permit)
-provide direct transportation for a large family who will be able to shower and get some sleep on proper beds
-have toys/games and access to tv and console games
-provide disabled access and medical assistance
The best way to do that is with a donation or if your not able to help that we are also in need of
spare clothing all sizes, toys and hygiene products
Dried foods like rice and pasta and beans
medical supplies of all levels of need
single beds/mattresses
12V electrical equipment! Washing machine etc
Solar generator and solar panels ( reduce running costs, to virtually only the fuel to move the van and the sunshine will fund the rest)
and strategically keeps your eyes peeled for a 3.5T side loading ramped van or similar. Adapting what I get will be the focus as long as the vans going to be reliable but cheap as possible or even donated . . As will end up being the vans future after its served our people we can vote on where it would best be donated to . . Ideally I want to get out helping as soon as possible not in 4 weeks. People need us. Please share this advert and hope this can get me on my way to europe in 2 weeks . Thank-you. God bless
This situation is changing rapidly and will affect people for some time. But knowing we can rely on your support, together, we can give hope to people in the darkest of times.
Please donate right now if you can.
How will my donation help people in Ukraine?
As the security situation allows, the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) will continue to respond to existing and emerging humanitarian crisis
Me and my best friend will drive an adapted vehicle to deliver bulk essentials to gathering locations in various countries like Latvia Poland Moldova etc
and then when we're on the ground we can seek out those with higher levels of needs that may need the help of transportation that is fully equipped with electricity, beds, shower facilities and with confidence that we are able to meet special dietary needs .
We are both level 3 qualified in food preparation, food hygiene and food allergy training plus I have emergency first aid training to help with temporary medical needs during their encounter with us and our help
Your donation could help someone affected get:
• food sourced locally where possible to give the better quality and lower costs than tins and ration packs
• water
• first aid
•transport
• warm clothes
• shelter
Please donate today.
What is the Red Cross doing to help people now?
So far, Red Cross teams in Ukraine have distributed over 90,000 food and hygiene parcels and provided food, warm clothes, and other aid to around 7,000 people sheltering in metro stations in Kyiv.
First aid training has also been delivered to over 12,000 people taking cover in metro stations and bomb shelters, so they have the skills to treat their loved ones if needed.
Red Cross teams in bordering countries are offering medical care and providing food, aid and shelter to people arriving from Ukraine to parts of europe
We are primed to provide compassionate support, information and basics like food, clothes and blankets, if needed, along with helping families contact loved ones, wherever they may be.
Your donation will help us reach more people.
