Warm Spaces Lunch Club
Who we are
We aim to to increase the number of older people coming in for a hot, two-course meal in the company of others in a warm space. Age Concern North Norfolk believes each person is unique in their own life history, personality, likes and dislikes. Based in Sheringham, our small and dedicated team support older people in our community through a range of services with the aim of maintaining clients' independence for as long as possible.
Community Impact
We have a direct impact on our local community, supporting older people with nutritious meals, cooked daily in the centre and delivered on 'heels' in the local community; social activities to reduce social isolation and provide mental stimulation; intergenerational activities to enable young people in our community with their skills and experience and bring a variety of activities to our centre; supported bathing, laundry services and signposting and support to other local services.
Why we are Crowd Funding
We are Crowd funding because we are a registered charity relying on donations and grants to maintain our services. With this financial help, we are able to offer subsidised activities to our local older people making our support affordable and accessible to all. When times are tough - as they are now for many people - we endeavour to keep services free or to avoid raising prices where there is a charge.
How we will spend the money raised
The money raised will directly benefit the older people who use our centre, enabling us to offer services at a heavily subsidised rate whilst maintaining the centre itself such as the replacement of equipment which is used daily.
