AGE CONCERN FLACKWELL HEATH AND LOUDWATER - NANCIE ROSS CENTRE (NRC)

Support our beautiful charity, as our dear clients need all the help they can get. After losing a grant, last year, and post Covid, we have to manage day by day, which at time is difficult. The NRC charity provides a Day Centre for the elderly, disabled, and some with dementia to have a day out, socialise, have a 2 course home cooked lunch, do some arts, crafts, painting, quizzes, singing, and make some new supportive friends. It is a wonderful experience to watch them come along, and over the weeks, and months to develop their social skills, make new friends, laugh and smile more. A lot of our clients live alone, in the  local community, and rely on social care, so often do not go far. We try, and keep our cost low, so that more clients can afford to attend, but this makes running the charity more complex. This is a wonderful, community driven charity, and so many people volunteer their time. I am proud to be part of it, and have driven the bus, to take clients home, as a volunteer,  for over 12 years now. See their smiling faces in the photo.
