The Cause

AEON Community Arts is based in Lurgan Town Centre. Their aim is to create a community that values diversity, they ensure everyone is included in community activities, promoting an environment where all contributions are valued through art.

We are a robust committee comprised of artists, teachers, SEN professionals, volunteer scout leaders, and individuals from integrated education backgrounds, including members from minority groups such as Polish and Ukrainian communities.

We take great pride in conducting highly successful community engagement events, for instance, the Big Heads Lurgan Parade, Halloween Lantern Parades, Art Exhibitions, Quiz nights, as well as Poetry and Writing Workshops, and Paint-along Masterclasses.

Aeon Community Arts has broadened social connections and relationships within the local diverse community with their multifaceted approach.

We maintain strong links with other community organizations to promote and respect various cultural heritages.

We persistently engage and target individuals from areas of deprivation by collaborating with a wide range of partners, such as the Jethro Centre, SHSCT, PCSP, and local schools.

We have fostered connections with family and friends in minority groups,

We have advocated for integration and taking pride in actively pursuing collaborations with new groups.

This fundraising will enable us to support our community through Bereavement, Suicide, Dementia and Mental Health drop in Art sessions.
