Adrien & Rob's Tour De Mentia Finale

Aim: Raising essential funds to support the fight against dementia by cycling 330km in under a day!

The 3rd and final challenge in the IUAD Trilogy, and it's a BIG one! 

2023 - 200km ride from Aviva's Norwich office to London (which I missed...)

2024 - 500km over 3 days from Aviva's York office to London (£1112 personally raised)

2025 - 330km in a single day from east coast (Rochester) to west coast (Weston-Super-Mare)

We are looking to collectively raise over £100,000 from the 3 years of events and this is by far the longest and hardest challenge. For context, we cycled 7am-10pm for last year's longest leg at just over 200km!  I know this is another year of asking for donations, but this is also the last one in this format...

Some facts about dementia shared with us by Alzheimer's UK:

• Dementia is the leading cause of death in Britain and has been for the last 10 years.
• 1.4 million Britons are expected to be living with dementia by 2040, affecting 1 in 3 people at some point in their lifetimes.
• Dementia has been determined to be the UK's biggest health and social care crisis.

We know we will have daylight to work with, but equally it could be in a headwind all day in the rain, and knowing that same wind will be powering our grid will offer only meagre solace. We've done plenty of long rides before, be it in races, for commutes, for charity, even wearing a kilt, but this is by far the longest ride we will have attempted. Please donate whatever you can for this great cause. The pain on the day for us will be worth it and will help get us through.
