What is Actions Speak Louder (ASL)?
Actions Speak Louder is the world’s first global change making app – a one stop shop – making it easy for everyone to become more effective change makers. We are creating an ecosystem of individuals, non-profits, educational institutions and businesses committed to achieving change.
About us:
Hi there! My name is Khalid, I am a 25-year-old Psychology graduate with a rich background working with non-profits in paid and unpaid roles (that's me posing in Albania). Having graduated during the first lockdown in London, I was looking for a simple way to find and engage in actions around global issues I care about. When I couldn’t find it, I decided to make it myself.
App features:
Actions Speak Louder is the changemakers greatest tool. It will facilitate actions domestically and globally to create lasting and worldwide change. Here are some of the main features:
1) Actions Search Tool: Help a cause with 3 taps!
- Search by keyword (eg. Human rights, poverty) and time (60 seconds – 15+ mins). Our algorithm will filter matches to show you actions you can take in that time period!
2) Opportunities portal: Find a role for you!
- Search for paid and unpaid opportunities from our member nonprofits. Network and connect with organisations you care about.
3) Share: Actions, posts, blogs and more.
- Create a network of like-minded people from around the world with our social media features
4) Resource library: Read, watch and learn!
- Access original materials made by those at the heart of activism and changemaking.
Why do we need your support?
I am currently running ASL alone with many friends and family supporting my vision ad hoc. However, to reach the lofty aims of this organisation, we need your help. Your contribution will go towards the development of our product. We already have a beta app ready for testing, the data from which will guide and aid the development of the launch product. Your contribution will also go towards marketing and other administrative costs.
