Action4Nature is a not-for-profit social enterprise offering creative climate education and action projects for children and adults in local communities.
Climate and environmental issues are often not adequately discussed in traditional educational settings, and when they are, messages of hopelessness are common.
Action4Nature works with local children and adults from all backgrounds to provide creative workshops and clubs that allow them space to discuss and learn about environmental issues.
We aim to educate and empower people of all ages so that they understand that a brighter, sustainable future is possible.
Our first child-focussed project is a weekly after-school club for ages 7-12, based at the South Oxford Adventure Playground (SOAP), that uses creativity and practical projects based in nature to learn about climate issues. Initially, children will learn stop-frame animation and how to use their voices to express their ideas about the environment.
Action4Nature is a community-based group, and so we need you, our community, to help get this project up and running!
We will offer places to those who cannot afford to contribute financially. We also need to cover start-up costs; including set up, materials for the first project and insurance.
- £200 would allow us to buy basic insurance
- £10 would allow us to buy snacks for the children for a session or provide vital materials
- £30 would cover the cost for a session for a child who would not otherwise be able to attend.
Our future creative education projects for people of all ages will include community growing, habitat restoration and tree planting as well as a range of eco-themed art projects in collaboration with the Old Fire Station. We are currently applying for grant money for these.
We hope you will support Action4Nature and join us on this amazing journey!

Action4Nature - Our Background:
