ACT is a charitable trust, set up to support other charities. We focus on tackling the links between housing and poverty and supporting social action.

ANDREWS CHARITABLE TRUST

Andrews are proud to be charity owned. Through Andrews Charitable Trust (ACT), our majority shareholder, we're transforming the lives of vulnerable young people with safe affordable housing via our [establish] project. Our fundraising week is 8 to 14th July. 

[establish] provides high quality, safe and affordable housing to young people vulnerable to homelessness (often care leavers), helping them grow into fully independent adults. Andrews Charitable Trust partner with local youth support organisations who provide ongoing weekly support to the residents. 

ACT work with 1625 Independent People in Bristol, Oxfordshire Youth, in Oxfordshire and CAYSH in London.

 The [establish] project currently houses 21 young people in 7 properties (11 units) 

Our teams are doing a whole host of activities to raise our collective £5,000 target. From virtual cycle rides to Paris, to bake sales, Raffles and Darts.

The £5,000 raised will fund 10 deposits for [establish] tenants when they move on to the private rental sector. Saving for a deposit is challenging for many young people, making this support essential.
