Aim: We aim to bring learning experiences that are a fusion of sense of place, heritage, mindfulness and emotional literacy, nature, and the art.
A
biding Heart is an approach to education that embraces a love for learning and personal development. Our aim is to (self) educate towards freedom through a journey of re-discovering our innate goodness. Our learning style is centred on experiential, artistic and reflective practices, fostering a process of transformation and the development of wisdom and compassion.
We would like to offer a new programme, specifically designed for children, at our recently opened centre in Scotland. We call it Abide: Experiential Learning Hub.
At Abide, we will offer experiential learning programmes for children age 6 to 12. Our wholesome and varied curriculum includes rigorous academic study as well as rich artistic experiences, all of which are appropriate to the age of the child. This fully integrated approach to learning engages the conceptual, affective, experiential, active and reflective being of the child.
A Unique Learning Approach
Nurturing Young Minds with Love and Compassion
The aim of Abide's is to sow seeds towards freedom. Our approach is centred on learning that foster a process of transformation and the development of resilience through nurturing love, kindness, empathy and joy. We work in close partnership with parents, who we greatly respect as the child's first and most important teacher. Our aim is to support parents who chose to home educate their children by offering our wholesome learning activities as well as for families who would like to offer out of school experiential and artistic learning activities for their children.
We aspire to nurture an all-round development of children: their body, heart and mind. It is important for us to offer our support to parents in educating their children with three overarching aims:
To re-awaken our children to their innate goodness;
To develop in children the capacity for clear thinking, analytical skills, grounded in understanding a greater view of reality;
To nurture in children the capacity for self-reflection, awareness and mindfulness;
To keep children connected with awe and wonder as a healthy and beautiful aspect of their being.
