'A Third More Sinister Option' is a short student project which interoperates the middle ground and challenges grief and loss in a different light. I want this film to make the audience feel disorientated and engulfed in this alternative realm. The film follows Freddy as he wakes up in 'the Waiting Room' surrounded by an almost perfect room, but somethings off and Freddy can't yet put his finger on. He's taken through this place by Stan, his flamboyant your-guide. Stan makes Freddy relive his most traumatic memories and worsens his already grieving soul. We eventually come to Freddy's old childhood house were he must figure out why he's here and how he can save himself.

The idea of this project came to me when I was sitting in bed one day wondering what it would be like to wake up in somethings that's not heaven or hell, but perhaps a third more sinister option. I wanted to make a film which would make my whole crew hate me because of how much work needs to be done in order to make this! The idea of having a comedy/thriller was to shed a slightly different approach to grief and stay away from the usual glamorisation of suicide-related media.
