A NEW START FOR JOHN

Aim: I am rainsing money to fund a specialist biohazard clean for John's house so that he can live in a place conducive to good health.

John has been quietly but significantly struggling with poor mental health since the pandemic started in 2020. He also now has an as yet undiagnosed neurological condition that affects him in many ways, as he is now frail and disabled. 

A once capable and very hands on man who worked and raised children, he has found himself unable to work or take care of things due to his symptoms. This all means his house and garden have fallen into a very poor condition, so much so that they are now considered a health hazard.

His health declined significantly and quickly leading to him to also losing his job due to his inability to perform the required tasks.

He is living in a 3 bed house pretty much on his own now, with the council funding  carers visiting twice a day. 

He needs to downsize, which the council can probably help with eventually. But with the house in it's current condition he is facing massive fees for the cleanup. 

I have found a company locally who specialises in biohazard cleans and they have quoted us £4500. 

This clean will be more than just a mop and a duster. This is a big and specialised job which will span a few days, and require special licensing and training, which this award winning company has,

It includes the following:

-Hire of the skip and them loading it. 

-Full deep clean of any Biohazards which are bagged into yellow bags that they supply to take to an incinerator. 

-Everything will get pulled out and deep cleaned. 

-Once the job is complete they can also disinfect fog machine the property. 

-Bio nicotine removal also which would require cleaning the ceilings and walls with a different chemical.

-They will also take to the local tip any goods that have been sitting in the garden but can't go in the skip.(White goods and fire retardent goods)

-They also come from a care background so the level of compassion they are showing is just incredible, and the reviews are AMAZING!

This company are ready to get the job booked in and want to see John with a fresh start, but as yet, we just don't have the funds. 

I feel that if we can just get this done sooner rather than later it would help him get the move he needs and prevent another debt from hanging over him as a disabled person once he does move out. Unfortunately though, he is on a low income and so am I, and he has nobody else to help.

So, this is why I'm putting this crowdfunder out there.

It's heartbreaking seeing the change in him, he is a shell of who he used to be and I just want to see him living in a better situation.
