We're still collecting donations

On the 31st January 2024 we'd raised £10 with 1 supporters in 42 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

Hello, my name is Lauren and I am from a lovely small town in Yorkshire. Growing up I struggled and still to this day have struggles in daily life with anxiety and panic attacks. It is something I can find really challenging when I am in a situation I feel vulnerable or judged. One thing I always found hard was not having people understood what was going on when I am in the space of anxiety or mid panic attack. One day I came across a video of someone vlogging where she explained her anxiety, OCD and phobias and I could not believe we were exactly the same, same phobias and very similar ways of dealing with it. Fast forward to present day, I still have panic attacks and anxiety, this could be random or it could be when I am faced with my fears. I seek distraction, I seek disconnection from the present. This has led me to start developing an app, which will be very intricate to support the millions of people around the world who suffer in their own ways, they can connect while disconnecting from the world. I need funds to make this dream a reality. If this app was available to me 15 years ago, it would have been my best friend in my pocket. For anyone kind enough to donate to my project, you will be responsible for helping the millions of people like myself who suffer from this mental health issue. Thank you for taking the time to read my short story and I look forward to people sharing theirs in the comments. Let’s connect and break the stigma.
