Aunt Flo would love to promote period positivity in young girls, hoping that with our boxes it will take away the embarrassment and anxiety

Aunt Flo was created when I noticed my 9 year old daughter was starting to show signs of puberty.  I knew that soon down the line she would be starting her first period.

I wanted to do something nice for her as I know that first time can be a little daunting, the thought I had was a box or hamper containing everything she would need for that first week. I noticed that there wasn’t really much around for first periods - that’s when Aunt Flo was created!!!!

With the help of my daughter Poppy we came up with 4 boxes. I researched and tested many items to come up with the perfect items to use in the boxes.  All Poppy approved!!

A girl starting her period can be a tough topic to approach, there can be awkwardness, embarrassment and the not knowing where to start!  These boxes were created to take all that away, the information leaflet inside the “first period kit” will provide everything a girl needs to know, it’s kept short and sweet but most of all it’s kept positive!

The main boxes are “The first period kits” we have a standard version and a deluxe version. Both have everything in for starting your first period, lots of information, advice and of course plenty of goodies!

For the girls that have already started their period we have the “top me up” box. This has everything you need for “that week”. Pampering and goodies! This can be a one off purchase or even a monthly treat!

We also have the “mini kit” this little kit it perfect to pop into your bag so you are always prepared, the kit contains 2 sanitary towels, 2 hygiene wipes and a plastic bag just in case of any accidents. The bonus is it comes in two different colours! The choice is yours!

Aunt Flo’s main aim to help young girls see their first period in a different light, taking away that awkwardness, embarrassment and anxiety.  Promoting period positivity between them and their friends and relatives. I would love to help family’s that can’t afford these luxuries along with schools, boarding schools and charities.

A percentage of profits each month will also go towards action aid uk to help end period poverty something Aunt Flo is also very passionate about.

With the funds raised I would love to purchase a computer and a printer as at the moment all my work including building a website has been done on my phone.  Also I would love to invest in more stock and marketing.
