It is with mixed emotions that I announce that Louise Kwa will be leaving us to focus on her new role as Deputy Maths Hub Lead at the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM). We would like to congratulate her on her promotion to this new position!
Unfortunately, this means she will not be returning from her maternity leave and will no longer be working as a class teacher at WHPS.
Miss Kwa has been at WHPS since 2013 and is a longstanding, outstanding member of our teaching team and many of your children will have been taught by her over the years. In addition, she has been a fantastic Maths lead for the school and is responsible for creating our partnership with NCETM. We will miss enormously having her working at our school as a class teacher and a leader! Her dedication to the children and ensuring that all children receive an outstanding maths curriculum has had a profound impact on our school.
While we are very sad to see her go, we are delighted that we will continue our partnership with Miss Kwa and NCETM. Our commitment to excellence in teaching mathematics and ongoing professional development will remain strong as we continue to work together. It will enable our staff to continue to have incredible opportunities for professional development in teaching mathematics.
