Thomas is an extraordinary introvert who struggles with ordinary life. But his quest for love is sent off-track by a very troublesome briefcase. Will he discover that it’s what’s inside that counts?
Thomas can typically be found fumbling his way through his dead-end job, his days punctuated only by his brief encounters with Daisy, his wide-eyed but equally shy colleague. On his quest for romance he will face a boisterous boss, his overwhelming insecurity and a rather bothersome briefcase that seems determined to drag him through a series of extraordinary events.
Through physical comedy, tight choreography and absurd characters, Rowan Armitt-Brewster, Lennie Longworth and Samuel Cunningham present a hilarious but heartwarming story that will leave you moved one minute and in tears of laughter the next. This show celebrates people’s differences within humanity and advocates everyone’s individuality. Join Thomas on his epic journey to discover that it’s what's inside that counts.
Skedaddle’s mission is to awaken an audience’s inner child. Inspired by the likes of Buster Keaton and Tom and Jerry, Skedaddle Theatre creates fun, skilful theatre with silliness at its core and a message to reflect on. They are drawn to the simplicity of cartoons and how they allow audiences of all ages to connect (or re-connect) with their childlike playfulness.
Established in 2023, ‘A Brief Case of Crazy’ is Skedaddle Theatre’s debut production! They are hitting the ground running with their Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut - aimed at those who enjoy the skill of classic physical comedy with a brand new twist!
The money we raise for this production will go towards marketing the show as well as into booking rehearsal space. It will also help us create future opportunities by being able to professionally record the show, to take it further beyond the Edinurgh Fringe.
