We will run:
Weekly, two-hour workshops focused on healthy eating and living. These sessions will provide practical, budget-friendly meal preparation techniques, nutrition education, and guidance on incorporating exercise into daily routines. Furthermore, we will address the complexities of family and work dynamics, equipping participants with tools to strengthen relationships and effectively manage stress.
To provide weekly, comprehensive food packages tailored to meet the unique dietary needs of our community. These packages will contain essential pantry staples such as tinned vegetables, potatoes, and pasta, as well as fresh and frozen goods, crucial toiletries, nappies, baby milk, and sanitary products. As a form of short-term support, each family will receive 12 such packages to assist them in regaining their stability and getting back on their feet. This ensures consistent and culturally appropriate sustenance for our vulnerable families, directly alleviating food insecurity and promoting overall well-being during a challenging period.
Project Benefits:
This project will directly address food insecurity, improve nutritional health, and enhance family well-being within the Orthodox Jewish community of Salford. Participants will gain practical skills in budget-friendly meal preparation and exercise, fostering healthier lifestyles. Workshops will also strengthen family relationships and stress management. Consistent, culturally appropriate food packages will ensure reliable access to essential sustenance, alleviating financial strain and promoting overall well-being. By empowering families with knowledge and resources, we aim to build a more resilient and thriving community.
