In an age that is seeing the decaying of British culture and history in real time we wanted to find a way to ensure a regeneration of British identity in the UK, especially in areas where there are high levels of immigration.
A message from the founder
As a History graduate and mother of seven children I can see first hand the failure of schools and communities in Britain to educate in a way that teaches children their history and culture. Instead of celebrating the achievements of Western Civilisation, schools focus on what Britain did ‘Wrong’. I believe that this failure has contributed towards the predicament we find ourselves in today as a nation. We have lost a sense of who we are and are made to feel ashamed of our nations history.
Living in East London I find it difficult to immerse my children in British culture as everywhere around me promotes foreign values and in places, seeks to remove the traditions that I grew up with.
Little Brits therefore seeks to solve this issue by engaging the next generation of children in British culture, tradition and history through local pop up shops and events, home subscription services, interactive activities online and ‘Little Brit Community Centres’ across the country, a place where children and young people can go to engage, learn and make friends.
There isn’t currently anything like this out there right now and with the right backing, it has the potential to do great things for our country.
We need funding to bring Little Brits to life by hiring a team, buying equipment and advertising.
