Who are we?
We are a volunteer run Outdoor Swimming Pool, providing swimming lessons, fun sessions, Aqua Fit, Rookie Lifeguard courses and many others to locals and holiday makers.

Why are we crowdfunding?
We require funding to be able to continue to provide free sessions to the families who would not be able to socialise together due to the worrying times we now live in. It gives parents the opportunity to spend time with their children learning to swim, enjoying the water when they wouldn't normally be able to afford it. As a charity who relies on donations for extra income, we are also finding times hard having been tied into a high rate for our electricity for the last few years.

How we’ll spend the money raised
All money raised will be used directly to pay for the entry fees for the relevant people only and we will be keeping strict records to ensure it isn't used for anything else other than helping families come together & kids to learn to swim.

Community impact
Our pool wants to ensure as many children as possible learn to swim as early as they can to ensure their safety around the town and local beaches. Living in a coastal town this is especially important. We provide benches and have a shop for those who don't wish to swim but can sit and chat while their children are with their friends.

How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
