Aim: I am raising money for a charitable cause that is very important to me so please donate and help me reach my target
Hi all - hope you are well, I have decided to take on a challenge... I appreciate I’m a little late to the party but that’s irrelevant. I also haven’t been gifted with the ability to grow a tash.
So... I have decided to run 5k (non-negotiable) every day for the rest of November to support local mental health charity Aware NI (please see bio) 5km X 20 days = 100km. I appreciate this isn’t the biggest feat, but it is something, and no doubt there will be days I’ll have to battle with my mind to get it done and persevere. (If my hips don’t break down before that ????)
I have had and still do have my own struggles with mental health and it’s something that everyone in their own way has to overcome.
Without waffling for too long, i’m sure a lot of you have been prompted to donate some money too many times already but it doesn’t stop a few of you legends on here firing over some coins. Regardless, I’ll get it done ✅
It genuinely would mean a lot and fuel me, but more importantly to those people who receive the benefit of it on the other side.
Anyway, one thing social media is good for: accountability. I’ll post my run and times on my story everyday and if it doesn’t appear, someone give me a hard time.
If I manage to inspire one person to get out of their comfort zone and realise their self limiting perceptions which are false, job done ????????
Ps I appreciate I was 0.04km short on the first attempt, it won’t happen again.
Thank you.
