My friend is stuck in Izmir, Turkey

Aim: This is my friend Mike. He needs help to return to the US. He is being detained in Turkey, passport papers needed to be paid/updated.

Below is the recent mishaps of my friend Mike McCarthy. If you can help now, he will reimburse you upon his return.

Mike is a good friend of mine, and a widowed dad with two children, pictured here. His daughters are waiting for him to come home to California, where they have all lived.

For the last 3 years he was worked as a marine engineer, for a company in the S. China Sea.

When he was returning to the US he was not able to use his own bank funds as the bank locked his account due to unuse. He has struggled just to get from the S. China Sea, to mainland China, to Ismir, Turkey. 

Travel costs are expensive in this part of the world. He has exhausted borrowing funds from friends and family to make it home. But is now being detained in Turkey because he overlooked his passport papers that were not updated. He will be indefinitely detained in a regional prison if he cannot pay the fees for his travel papers. 

Please help now, and when he returns he will pay the funds back, once his bank account is fixed.
