Charlie's African & Mountain Endurance Adventures

Charity Vision:

Since 2005 African Vision Malawi (AVM) has been helping children & vulnerable people in Malawi, one of the poorest countries in the world.

Their vision is to empower children and vulnerable people to become self-sufficient and independent and they aim to enable their users to develop skills and have training which will mean they will ultimately be able to support themselves.

Heart of the Fundraiser:

This is a charity close to the hearts of some of those dearest to me and the first endurance challenge, 'Pedal Power Malawi', is set up by AVM and led by my partner Sam Palmer - where we will not only get to see the beautiful sites of Malawi but also have the opportunity to volunteer and see for ourselves the work that is being done in Malawi.

We will cycle 500km across 6 days through breath-taking landscapes while supporting a worthy cause.

Challenges:

So I have decided to embark on 3  endurance adventures this year, the first one starting in Malawi:

• 500km Pedal Power Malawi 2024 - (May 10) led by Sam Palmer
• Ironman Thun Switzerland - a promise I made to my late Father (July 7)
• 32km Ultracks Mountain Race - Matterhorn, Switzerland (August 25)

Anything you can contribute towards helping me achieve my target will be massively appreciated. Even words of encouragement.
