Helping to Feed Those in Need

So here's my story...Just a few weeks ago, I volunteered for an afternoon at the Borehamwood Food Bank to keep a legacy going – one that my Dad who recently passed away started, where he would go out handing out food to those in need every year on his Birthday and I have fond memories of these times. 

This was my first-time volunteering at the Borehamwood Food Bank and if I were to share my experience in words - it was heart-breaking and heart-warming at the same time. I am going to be back volunteering at the centre again the week commencing 14th December. 

The Covid-19 pandemic and the challenges that it has brought in has created a huge surge in the need for support on food donations within the community and has therefore seen the Food Bank requiring more food donations and financial support than ever before to be able to continue supporting the community and they are working very hard to make sure that no one within the community has to go hungry.

With Christmas around the corner, the Food Bank is going to be seeing more food requests to support individuals and families that are in need. So here I am doing my little bit to support the community back. I am raising money for a charitable cause that is close to my heart. 

I am so grateful to Smartbox UK, the company I work for who will be matching the funds that I raise All donations big or small will be deeply appreciated in helping me reach my target in aid of Borehamwood Food Bank.
