We have a vision of creating a permanent home for the 490th BG which was based at Eye airfield during the WWII. We are located on that very base. By erecting a Nissen hut as the home of this project we are in keeping with the buildings used during that time period on an airfield base. Encapsulating interactive displays, artefacts, visual aids and a WWII interactive experience for school projects. Kids can stay over and experience the sounds and smells of WWII in total safety and learn on a personal level how it felt to sleep in  bunker style environment. An athenaeum, a place to learn but in a fun, interactive & structured way. Outside we envisage an aviation based children play area for physical and mental exercise, small challenges that will encourage and enhance children's physical and mental state.
