Hi, my name is Mihai, and I’m reaching out to you with a dream I can’t accomplish alone. This project comes from my heart, born out of the simple but powerful idea that memories of our loved ones; family, friends, or even out lovely pets, they are the most precious things we have.
Every time I look at an old photo, I find myself wishing I could go beyond just seeing it. I want to feel it. I want to hold something that brings those memories closer, something tangible. Photos and videos can never quite capture what it was like to have someone there with you, their presence, their warmth, their essence and I’m trying to bring this idea to life: creating miniature 3D models of loved ones and pets so people can cherish them in a way that feels real. Imagine being able to hold a small replica of your grandmother, your child, or your beloved dog, something to connect you to those moments that fade so quickly.
Or even capture the best moments of your life, like your kids growing up, getting married and so on.
I’ve been researching how to make this possible, looking at ways to use 3D scanning and printing to turn photos or digital scans into beautiful keepsakes. I imagine setting up a studio where people can come for a quick scan, or even taking a mobile setup to events so it’s accessible to more people. For those further away, I’d offer an online option to submit photos or scans, and I’d work to turn them into something special and send back to them a little magic.
But I can’t afford the equipment I need to start. Professional 3D printers and scanners are expensive, and I’m just one person trying to make this happen. That’s why I’m here, asking for your help, the funds will be used to purchase the equipment and supplies and renting out a small space in order to set up.
Your support would mean the world to me. It would help me turn this dream into reality, so I can offer people something truly meaningful, a way to hold onto their memories, not just in their minds but in their hands.
