My wonderful mother has relocated to Inveraray in her 91st year and has been welcomed into the local community groups. The Senior Citizen group provide entertainment, social interaction and support just with the aid of donations. Time to give back!
In the absence of hospice care close to hand our fabulous local hospital provides an End Of Life service. We have a wonderful room for relatives for which I helped to fund raise during own treatment period. I would like to provide sensory support for the patients at end of Life and those with dementia. I am a breast cancer survivor of 15 years and love a personal and professional challenge. I work full time with 12 hour shifts over the 24 hour period at Mid Argyll Community Hospital in A&E and on the ward. I have been committed to exercise for many years but this is different. Fitting in a run, swim, cycle or yoga session in EVERY day for a year irrespective of day or night shift will be a new level of challenge especially as I enter my seventh decade. Exercise of whatever level supports and fulfils me both physically, spiritually and mentally. Please follow my story through the year and if you feel inclined donate some money please do :-)
