2ND HERNE BAY SCOUT GROUP
Operating a scout group for young people between the ages of 6 and 17 through beavers, cubs, scouts and explorer scouts for the Herne Bay area. We are based in Greenhill, Herne Bay and operate as one of a number of groups in the Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay district scouts. We are raising funds to replace our Scout Hall which is at the end of its life.

We are a thriving Scout Group benefitting from our own grounds in Greenhill, Herne Bay. Our Scout Hall is coming to the end of its life, and needs replacing very soon.
We are raising funds to support this, so that Scouting for young people from age 6 through to 17 can continue, and so that the team of volunteers leading them can continue to do so.
Our hall is also used by other community groups including Rainbows and Brownies, Football Coaching for infants, a School Holiday Activity Club, and for Dance Lessons.
All of these groups need us to replace our hall for their activities to continue.
To replace the existing wooden structure with something similar on a concrete slab base has been estimated in the region of £180,000. With £20,000 raised so far we are looking for a big boost to move things forward.
