Who we are...

The 24th Dorking Scout Group is dedicated to empowering young people from 4 years old all the way up to 24 with #SkillsForLife through fun, adventurous, and educational experiences. 

What we do...

We offer a safe and inclusive environment where young people can develop essential life skills, build friendships, and explore the great outdoors. Each week the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts engage in activities that help them work towards various badges, whether it be their Camp Craft badge, Environmental Conservation badge or their Global Issues badge and everything in-between. Last year alone our groups 63 young people earned 761 badges, were awarded 11 Chief Scout awards and took part in over 150 nights away!

How you can help...

Our Scout hut and Scout group has a long history, starting life as a chapel behind the garage in Mid Holmwood before being moved (both the Scout group and building) to where our current Scout hut sits today behind the old South Holmwood School. 

Whilst our beloved hut has served us well, it is showing its age—most notably, our roof, which is over 70 years old and in urgent need of replacement.

To better serve our young people, we also plan to remove the stage area and create additional storage space, which will allow us to increase the number of places for young people in each of our sections. However, these essential improvements come with significant costs, posing a challenge for us as a not-for-profit charity. This is where your support can make a huge difference.
