24 Hour Sponsored Silence Supporting Shiva Trust

Hello all my lovely friends and family,

Will you all please help me?

I am doing a 24 hour sponsored silence.

Anyone who knows me, knows I am super active, love to chat and at every opportunity I fill empty silences, which I generally feel quite painful to be left dangling in, so I am going to dive into those empty voids of silence and be with my own mental pain and consider the physical pain, depravation, poverty and lack of opportunity others endure. This is going to be a very tricky challenge for me but I am totally committed to doing it as I feel so passionate about the cause.

I want to help people who are suffering, people who feel hopeless, whose life has no meaning or purpose. People who feel forgotten, unloved, rejected, and abandoned!

By giving to my sponsored silence, Your love and support will provide the change these people need to rise up stronger out of their life limiting conditions.  

I want to do my part to help Shiva Trust Charity support 250 people who live in poverty and depravation. They are providing education and support services to children, young people, adults, families and the elderly in the following areas:

• Physical health and well-being 
• Life skills 
• Emotional literacy 
• Self care 
• Spiritual welfare 
• Life purpose and career 
• Social and community inclusion  

In my opinion everyone should have equal access to the type of support that can lift them out of hardship. This privilege should not just be for those who can afford it. Please support my sponsored silence and we can both make that possible for someone who can’t afford therapy or doesn’t know how to access life skills support.

For the last two years during Covid, Shiva Trust has worked tirelessly every day serving some of the individuals in the UK who were hardest hit by the isolation and loneliness experienced during the pandemic. Sadly, due to low incomes this also had a huge impact on their health and well-being, so not only were they impacted by isolation and loneliness due to poor housing, no green spaces and little or no family, but they were also suffering because of a lack of opportunity! 

Just £20 can make a real difference in someone’s life.
