Hi! We are a passionate group of 2nd-year film students from The Northern Film School, and this term we’re thrilled to present our unique short film, 24 Across. This dark atmospheric story follows Isabella, a modern-day vampire trying to survive a scorching heatwave while navigating the challenges of a dwindling blood supply.
Imagine a world where the streets are quiet, the days stretch long and hot, and a modern-day vampire struggles not just with her thirst for blood, but with a deep, aching loneliness in a world shattered by the pandemic. This is the heart of our project, "24 Across", an emotional take on isolation, connection, and the human condition viewed through the eyes of a vampire who’s been living on the fringes of society.
“24 Across” follows Isabella, a young vampire battling both a severe heatwave and the personal impact of a world changed by COVID-19. Trapped in her flat and running out of blood, she faces challenges that aren’t only physical but emotional. As she waits for nightfall, her attempts to lure in a delivery driver fail, and what begins as a desperate hunt for sustenance turns into a story of unexpected connection and self-reflection.
We would be truly grateful for any contribution you can make. Your support will directly help us cover essential costs such as props, costumes, and other key elements needed to bring this story to life. Every donation helps us create the most genuine and engaging version of our film. Thank you so much for believing in our project and helping us make this vision a reality!
