Aim: Help fund our 4 target ward campaigns for the 2026 Kirklees Elections. A good chance of seeing 12 Green Councillors elected.
2026 is a big election year for the Green Party in Kirklees.
Due to boundary changes all 69 Kirklees Councillors will be up for election at the same. The Green Party will be targeting 4 wards, Ashbrow, Crosland Moor, Greenhead and Netherton & Newsome.
In Netherton & Newsome Ward Cllrs Andrew Cooper, Karen Allison & Sue Lee-Richards will be seeking re-election with Netherton now a big part of the new ward
In Crosland Moor Ward Alex Vickers will be seeking re-election following her breakthrough win last year. She is joined by Cllr Imran Safdar and Abdul Jabar.
In Greenhead Ward Maryam Jawaid who narrowly missed being elected last time by 41 votes is standing again and she is joined by Toby Cooper and we are currently selecting for the 3rd candidate.
In Ashbrow Ward, Green Campaigner Simon Duffy is working hard and we will be selecting Candidates for this Ward shortly.
We need funding to support all our leaflets, posters and targeted social media to support out campaigns. Raising the £2000 we need this year will be a great help but regular donations mean we can spend more time campaigning and less time raising funds.
So please support our campaigns with whatever you are able to afford.
