Who are we?
Bradford and Bingley Cricket Club (The Bees) are a proud member of the Bradford Premier League. We have 3 senior sides and junior sides from U9-U18.
The club has a diverse membership and welcomes players, parents, supporters and opponents from all faiths and backgrounds.
The club have brought a number of county players through our ranks over the years, and indeed the club are very proud that world cup winners Adil Rashid (double in his case!) and Harry Brook are former Bees!
Our junior sides have been very successful over the years and we continue to invest in developing coaches to help players of all abilities improve as cricketers and young people.
Bees Community impact
The club are proud members of the highly regards Bradford Premier League and continue to develop and promote our. young talent into our senior sides.
The club is much loved by its members (of all ages) who all get involved in maintaining our facilities. This is early 2022 after the floods when a working party worked on fixing our net facilities that were damaged by floods and fire.
The club host charity games including the Bradford Lord Mayor's 2022 charity game and a superb game with hugely talented blind and partially sighted cricketers. We will always continue to support such worthwhile causes where we can.
Why are we crowdfunding?
In short....we need your help.
Our club has been plagued by flooding over the past decade. The club will flood each year, we unfortunately will never have the funds to be able to hold back the water, however we can help ourselves by increasing our revenue streams.
Our pavilion is the only part of the club that does not flood! We are looking to develop our pavilion facilities in order to increase our revenue so we don't have to rely on (very gratefully received) donations each year just to get the club back on its feet and. ready for the season.
How we’ll spend the money raised
We created a small bar / tea room at the start of the 2022 season, we need to extend our capacity through developing and outside patio /seating area that will not only enhance our wonderful ground, help us generate more funds, but also further establish the club in the community by providing facilities that they can access and use, particularly in the summer months.
The club has been lucky enough to have been selected to host Bradford League T20 finals, Charity Games and Junior Representative Cricket. These events are always well attended and much enjoyed by the wider community and promote our game. Bradford and Bingley Cricket Club continue to promote and support the development of the game, however we need to develop this additional revenue stream to continue to invest in our facilities in the face of increasing costs and meeting the cost of the annual flood repairs.
If we exceed our target we will invest further in our. changing facilities, flood defences and training facilities.
How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. If you want to run your own fundraiser to support us, maybe a sponsored activity or similar, use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
Thank you in advance for your support!
