The year 2025 is a very special one for Dennington school. On May 10th it is the 150th anniversary of the day Dennington School opened!
We would like to celebrate this special anniversary by holding a fun celebration day on our school field on Saturday 10th May 2025. This will include a Victorian funfair, games, miniature steam engine rides, food and maypole dances from the children. We will have a display set up in the hall which has pictures and information about the school and village over the years - we have some lovely photos & logbooks including accounts of evacuees that were sent to Dennington in World War 2.
In addition to fundraising for our celebration day, we have a very special goal in our 150th year which is to raise funds for two projects. Due to increased numbers, our library has been turned into an extra space for our Reception children. We would love to have a purpose built new room to serve as a library where children can learn and read. We also have an aim to create a sensory learning room for children with additional needs and resources to support these.
To be able to achieve all of this we need help. Very tight small school budgets do not allow for this type of expenditure and so any donations would be greatly appreciated, by us and by the future generations yet to attend our wonderful school.

Thank you!
