Megan Goodsell is fundraising for
Disability Challengers
Charity No. 1095134

I am raising money for a charitable cause that is very important to me so please donate and help me reach my target
For over four years myself and Megan C have been working at Challengers; unfortunately due to Covid-19 it has forced schemes to close temporarily and fundraising events to be cancelled. Without these funds, the charity will struggle to survive, so me and Megan are going to be trying to raise as much money as possible!
On the 24th June, myself and Megan (wearing our bright orange staff tops) will be doing a 12 hour walk from our homes (Merton area) up to London and walking around to see how far we can get before walking home again. This will be a massive achievement for us as we feel it’s the least we can do for a charity which does so much.
Working at Challengers has taught us so much and the skills we have learnt truly are irreplaceable. We have had specialist training to deal with individual needs and make sure we are fully prepared to deal with different scenarios. I never thought I’d love a job so much that I have found it impossible to say goodbye. Every holiday I would work as much as I can, even coming back at weekends if staff levels are very low. What makes Challengers so different from many other charities is its inclusive nature; regardless of how complex the child’s needs or behaviour, they are more than welcome at Challengers, we want everyone to feel included and get involved with play.
Any donations would be appreciated and I hope you can see how much the charity means to us from the pictures below (all taken from Challengers website). Well done both of you and wonderful words in your reasons for doing it. My daughter has used and loved Challangers for many years and we as a family are so grateful for it and all the wonderful staff and helpers. Thank you.
