I am running 10k to raise funds for Exist Skatepark!
Exist Skatepark (Not for Profit) is an incredible asset to Swansea. It’s our only indoor skatepark that provides a safe space for children and adults to learn and practice skateboarding and other wheeled sports.
It’s a place for people to be themselves, make friends, learn something new and take risks.
With the support of Swansea City Council through their Transforming Towns initiative, Exist Skatepark has an opportunity to secure their lease paid for at a fixed rate for the next 10 years (worth 180 thousand pounds) but to access this funding they need to raise £75k to renovate the building.
Without this funding they cannot guarantee the skatepark will be here beyond 2027. They turn 13 this year and the skatepark is in desperate need of renovation.
The skatepark has raised £65k through sponsorships, fundraising and grants and is £10k off their target. I’d love to raise £500 to help them reach their fundraising goal.
I’ve been running on and off for the last few year but not ran more than 6k in that time so this race will be a challenge for me! Please donate what you can. Your support means everything ❤️
