We are raising funds to support the Dementia Services at London North West Healthcare University NHS Trust (LNWH) and Harrow Carers

Where the Funding Will Be Used

We are raising funds to support two vital initiatives: the Dementia Services at London North West Healthcare University NHS Trust (LNWH) and Harrow Carers. Your contributions will be split between these two organisations to maximize the impact on individuals living with dementia in Harrow.

1- Dementia Choir - Harrow Carers

We aim to use the funds to set up a dementia choir in Harrow, a unique and impactful initiative to enhance the lives of individuals with dementia. Music has a profound ability to connect with people on an emotional level, and for those with dementia, it can be a powerful tool to evoke memories, improve mood, and foster a sense of community. By creating a dementia choir, we hope to provide a joyful and therapeutic experience for participants, allowing them to express themselves through song and connect with others in a supportive environment. Your contributions will help us cover the costs of professional music therapy, choir sessions, and necessary resources to ensure that this choir can thrive and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by dementia. Together, we can bring the healing power of music to those who need it most.

2. Dementia Services at London North West Healthcare University NHS Trust (Northwick Park Hospital)

We are also raising funds for the activities of the Dementia Services at Northwick Park Hospital. One of our projects includes sponsoring choirs and setting up a music group with our dementia champions. According to the Alzheimer’s Society, listening to music can improve quality of life, whether it's an old favorite or a song that reminds them of a special moment. We'll also use the funds to keep providing activity kits to our wards and areas to help staff engage with our patients. These kits are designed to stimulate cognitive function, provide comfort, and enhance the overall well-being of our patients.

By supporting these initiatives, you are helping to create a positive and lasting impact on the lives of those affected by dementia. Your generosity will enable us to bring joy, comfort, and a sense of community to individuals who need it most.
