I work for Benefit Cosmetics and every year we raise money for Look Good Feel Better & Refuge with our Bold is Beautiful campaign. I want to get involved so I know I've done my part this year. The goal is to give back to these amazing charities, through donations, volunteering, and raising awareness.
I have recently signed up to be a volunteer with Look Good Feel Better and I know a few people who have attended one of their workshops. They rely on the goodness of others to donate and volunteer so they can keep supporting people through their cancer journey. LGFB are dedicated to improving the physical and emotional well-being of women, men and young adults undergoing treatment for any type of cancer. They provide face to face workshops as well as virtual online services. They are a brilliant charity giving confidence to those facing cancer.
Refuge also rely on donations and voluntering, they are one of the Uk's largest providers of specialist support for women & their children, experiencing domestic abuse. They help empower women & their children who are survivors, to rebuild their lives. Refuge run a 24/7 helpline to give these women someone to talk to in a very difficult time in their lives.
This is why I personally want to raise money for both LGFB & Refuge. They provide amazing services to those in need. £5 can help provide a toy for a child who has had to leave their home. £10 can help fund essential hygiene items for a LGFB workshop. £15 helps fund a gift bag for LGFB beneficiaries full of essential skincare.
I'd really appriecate any donation to help these charities, and for fun, you get to watch me skip 100 skips a day, all through the month of May.
