While at home at the beginning of the Corvid19 lock-down I was talking with members of Louth Lions Club who explained that many of their fund raising events for this year have been cancelled. They mentioned they need the funds to continue supporting local community groups.
I thought as I had the time available,I could set my own challenge up, to do a minimum 2,6 mile walk every day for the next 100 days.So I started the challenge on May 9th and have continued everyday since, recording all my walks on a phone app called Strava. In support of my project I am contributing £1.00 for every day I meet the challenge and hopefully this will help to keep my fitness levels up whilst not being able to use my local gym.
To date I have managed 2.60 miles or more on 49 consecutive days so Sunday 28th June, I can celebrate the half way point with a large beer. Just 50 more walks to do then a rest day. Perhaps
