Oxford at the Student World Sailing Championships

Raising money to help get the Oxford sailing team to the Student World's- in a position to beat them all (including Cambridge!)

We did it!

On 8th Oct 2015 we successfully raised £3,266 of £2,000 target with 29 supporters in 56 days

New stretch target

We are delighted that we have reached our target so quickly so a massive thank you to everyone who has donated so far! However, to really give us the best possible chance at the World's, we need every penny we can get. The more funds we have, the harder we can train and the more likely we are to beat Cambridge!

Project aim

Raising money to help get the Oxford sailing team to the Student World's - and in a position to beat them all

About the project

We've trained long and hard for the last couple of years to get to where we are now - but we're not there yet. Even though we qualified at the Student Nationals taking a hard won second place in April, we still have to get to the competition in La Baule, France this October. Sailing teams from around the world are competing, including the reigning Champions Southampton and (our favorite arch-nemisis) Cambridge. In order to do ourselves, Oxford (and England) proud, we want to go all out which means a whole lot more training as well as actually shipping our salty selves out there. For that we really need your help.

Each member of the team has easily spent over a thousand pounds on training and racing this year, and are set to do so again next year. That means that any help you can give us will go a long way to helping us train as hard as we possibly can before the event and win some much desired trophies.

In return for your support we are offering a number of gifts or rewards in exchange including promoting a (charitable!) cause of your choice or the chance to come sailing with us. In addition, any money made above our requirements will go to a charitable cause. However you supprt us you'll be the proud reciever of a post card and thank you note fromt he event, along with our undying gratitude.

Thank you and we'll see you when we're covered in glory!
