Nearly 14 years ago whilst carrying out charity work in Kenya, I visited Nairobi.
At the time I was a Retained Fire Fighter back home in England, so I decided to visit Nairobi Fire Station. The crew were so welcoming and as I was leaving they asked me for help and said they need the training that England have. They told me how they lose many Fire Fighters in high rise buildings in Nairobi.
I was unsuccessful in my quest to get them the help they asked me for at the time.
This has niggled away at me for many years now. Someone asked me for help, and that brings this cause very close to my heart.
With a new determination, I intend to raise the funds I need to get the Nairobi Fire Crew some training.
We have excellent Fire Behaviour Colleges in England. My hope is that we can share this amazing facility with those less fortunate than ourselves.
