New stretch target

All money raised is still going to Raploch Community Partnership and Kings Theatre Kirkcaldy...thanks for your support so far!

Hello! We are three collaborators who are passionate about community connections, human experience, history and creativity. We got together (remotely!) at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, with an idea of collecting experiences in the form of photos and videos, from people all over Scotland. We took your experiences and have collated them together to make a documentary film - 'Our Lockdown'!

The film project has been a huge passion of ours over the last year and a bit, and we are so excited to show you the end product!

Why are we fundraising?

In a response to the pandemic, we want to release Our Lockdown as an online premiere, and raise money for two charities which are close to our hearts - Raploch Community Partnership in Stirling and the Kings Theatre Kirkaldy.

Raploch Community Partnership

1619265769_rcp_logo.pngRaploch Community Partnership are a community- led organisation focusing on the economic and social regeneration of Raploch and wider Stirling area. Raploch Community Partnership aim to help people and organisations to realise their potential through their activity, work and incomes.

Raploch Community Partnership say;

 “We eagerly await the Premier of  Our Lockdown film, and we are delighted to be involved.  The Film Event will be of real benefit to our organisation helping us to reach out to others in our Community and share what we do.  As a main aim of Raploch Community Partnership is to help people connect with others and thereby reduce isolation and loneliness, our work is never more needed as our Communities try to heal and rebuild. Any funds we receive from this Creative Event will be used to support our Connect Work where we will support people with kindness to reconnect with their community through joyful, volunteer led Community activities."

Kings Theatre Kirkcaldy

Built in 1904, the once glorious Kings Theatre brought people far and wide to Kirkcaldy.

1619267851_r0ea776047733eddc9800908997a04202.jpgKnown most recently as the old ABC cinema, this beautiful building saw a century of service until its doors closed in 2000.  Since it closed it fell into neglect and has reached a state of severe dilapidation.

The Kings Live Lounge, an events space and bar, re-opened in 2019 in the former YWCA building next to the theatre. Unfortunately, the Live Lounge has been closed since last March due to Covid-19 restrictions.

100% of donations from the Our Lockdown premiere will be split 50/50 between the two charities.
