In September 2019 a small team of volunteers from the UK will be heading out to Swaziland to spend 2 weeks working in local communities with Challenge Ministries Swaziland on one of their Mission Impact trips. The charity's work is far-reaching and life-changing in a country devastated by HIV.
They provide family-style care for orphaned and vulnerable children, protect and empower women and girls who are suffering physical and sexual abuse; help young men overcome drug and alcohol addiction; and train up future leaders.
We (Summer, 20 yrs and Jenna, 18 yrs) are really excited that we will spend a week in Bulembu, a town which the charity have transformed from an abandoned mining town into a thriving, sustainable community, that provides housing and education for around 370 orphans.
The work of Mission Impact that we will be involved in (hard labour!!) will naturally be varied, new for us and totally life transforming.
We are trying to raise money to enable us to go on this trip as when we heard of the work Challenge Ministries Swaziland do we were moved to do something to help!
This trip will cost £1600 each, so please give whatever you can - we are grateful for any donations!
Thank you so much
Summer & Jenna xx
