Week 6 update

Last night, at St Bride's Liverpool, the church where Open Table began in June 2008, more than 150 people of all ages gathered for the Open Table carol service. Someone who took part wrote on Twitter:

Felt v. moved tonight at @StBridesLpool LGBT+ inclusive Christmas service. Haven't been in a church so warm & alive in years. @MirandaTHolmes' sermon reminded if God is love then ALL of our love is God. Take note wider @c_of_e. Thank you all at St Brides x

I had a little cry coz there were maybe 150 queer folk in church, worshipping, singing, praying and coming exactly as they are. And being accepted! Yes to more of this & being more vocal about this x

It was heartwarming to read - this is exactly why we are here, and why so many churches are contacting us to explore hosting an Open Table community. With your pledge, we can make this kind of welcome more widely known across the UK. Our crowdfunding campaign closes on December 31st - please share this message and give if you are able - Thank you!
