Nunique, is the words New and Unique forged together, promoting a 'creative identity' for young emerging creatives. The Nunique project is important aims to inspire young people, nationwide into promoting their brands and self-employment thus encouraging leadership, ownership, and resilience. The project also aims to tackle social exclusion by targeting young people from harsh backgrounds and using creative enterprise to inspire.
Nunique will become a digitalised platform, supporting emerging creatives, entrepreneurs and athletes. Nunique will support young people by building a movement of creatives (#TeamNunique) capturing talent, advocating and showcasing these talents to local communities.
My name is Junior Graham and I am the founder and Creative Director of Nunique CIC. I've been working with young people for 16 years from educational, social and community backgrounds. I have supported young people from socially excluded backgrounds throughout my career and the best work I've done is to support young people in starting their own brands and businesses.
I recently graduated from Goldsmiths University studying Applied social science, community development, and youth work. For my dissertation, I conducted a study entitled 'Can youth entrepreneurship tackle social exclusion and if so, how?' and within this study, I've researched positive ways in how the community can further support young people from harsh backgrounds. I am passionate about helping people create new ideas and believe that young people are the future leaders of the world.
We need to raise £2,500 for start-up costs and work towards this dream, which will be to host a community event, exhibiting our talent locally, nationally and even one day, internationally!
