On Friday, the river Lynher rose to the highest on record and caused devasting flooding to the Notter Bridge Inn and surrounding area.
Pubs and inns are places that bring cheer, company to the lonely and a sense of community to our villages. At the busiest time of the year, and at the end of a hellish year for most of us, the team at Notter Bridge have lost any chance of making up for any lost income and giving residents a Christmas they deserve.
Let's show our support if we can. Our support could bring cheer to the local community - depending on how much we raise. As the hub of the community, funds will be given to John and Claire (Landlord and Landlady) to use in any way they think best. Suggestions include a Christmas dinner later in the year, a barbecue for residents, or a support fund to help people in their losses. I just want them to know we are with them in this awful mess in any way that we can.
