Keeping You E-Safe is a new service that provides free online, and in person, advice, information and support on how to keep safe online across England, Scotland and Wales.
York Pi Jam & York CoderDojo have teamed up to organise Keeping You E-Safe North Yorkshire! That means a dedicated team to the Support Groups across North Yorkshire, and we can target adverts to make sure our support is accessible to everyone.
With e-safety concerns rising as more young people spend time online, we want to set up more support groups across North Yorkshire that can be something the community are proud of. From the York City Centre to Selby and surrounding areas... we want everyone to be able to visit a Support Group as quickly and as safely as possible. We have plenty of cleaning equipment, hand sanitiser and a Track & Trace app to make sure our Support Groups are COVID secure.
We also want to give more volunteering opportunities for North Yorkshire's people. With more North Yorkshire Support Groups popping up, we need people to volunteer, help organise and fundraise. These opportunities can help provide life skills and look amazing on a CV and UCAS application.
We also want to work with North Yorkshire's local media. From in print and online adverts, advertising the library of advice pages Keeping You E-Safe has, to local radio adverts that can help us raise awareness and share important updates with North Yorkshire's people.
As a thank you for donating, we have some opportunities to land yourself some free goodies. From shinny stickers to Cyber Warrior mugs... you can get some really cool, and limited edition, swag!
We can't do this without your help.
Become an E-Safety Superhero and let’s keep North Yorkshire E-Safe!
