We're replanting a forest in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. So far we have self funded the project, planting over 4000 trees, however our mission is to have, when finished 100,000!

We have already had a very successful volunteering day in which 12 individuals gave up their time and with their efforts we planted 950 trees. Your kind donations will fund a volunteering weekend made up of 17 volunteers where we will travel in the depths of winter to the north pennines on Friday 30th November and returning Sunday 2nd December allowing us  2 full days to plant around 2500 trees. Your funds will go towards the trees themselves (hawthorn, goat willow, alder, silver birch and rowan) stakes and tubex, which do not come cheap. Costs for our last volunteering day were as follows

Tree 31p (average)

Stake 23p

Tubex 75p

Total: £1.29 per tree x 2500 = £3225

We have a long way to go to reach our target of 100,000 trees but with the help from volunteers, organisations and donors like yourself our vision is within our grasp.

Let's make 'North Pennines Tree Planting Project' happen
