Hey everyone! So many important charities have lost their funding recently, Free the Bears being one of them. Free the Bears rescues and rehabilites bears that have been kept in cages in horrific conditions on bile farms all their lives for the purpose of having their bile extracted for "medicinal" purposes. With bear bile being listed in China as a "cure" for covid-19 and with most of the charities donations coming from sanctuary visits the charity is in desperate need of help to keep saving bears and taking care of the ones that have already been rehabilitated. I was lucky enough to see one of their sancturies in Laos and what they do is truly amazing.
Because of of this I have decided to participate in the "Night in a Cage" fundraising event. Many bears will spend 18 years of their life trapped in these cages so I will be spending 18 hours in a cage on 9th May to support this charity.
