WHO WE ARE

Niagara Falls Projects (NFP) is an artist-led studio and contemporary art project space in Brighton UK co-founded by James William Murray and Martin Seeds.

NFP aims to produce excellent contemporary art projects by artists working in all media.

OUR STORY

In 2017 we renovated a semi-derelict garage and adjoining workshops which had previously been unoccupied for several years. Since gaining possession we have replaced windows, built dividing walls, painted the floor, had a brand new roof fitted, and installed new lighting to make a space in which to showcase innovative contemporary art by local and international artists. We are based 15 minutes from the centre of Brighton in the residential area of Hanover. Here is an image of the space when we first moved in...

Below are examples of our recent exhibitions to give a sense of how we have transformed the space. Examples of all our projects can be seen on our website.

The NFP team consists of its founders, and Haley Moyse Fenning. NFP is currently sustained on a voluntary basis. We offer affordable artist editions to help meet basic runnings costs. However, this can only take us so far...

WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT

We have launched this campaign as a means to secure the immediate future of the space, ensuring we are able to continue to deliver at least four exhibitions per year and expand our audience. It is important that we establish a formal structure as an organisation and become more outward looking in order to further our work as an arts venue. We are committed to supporting participating artists to help realise innovative projects, engage the local community, and raise the profile of contemporary art in Brighton.

WHAT YOUR DONATION WILL MEAN

  • We can continue and expand our programme of exhibitions and projects.

  • We can offer a modest production budget for each project, supporting artists through transportation and installation of their work.

  • We can better engage with the wider community by hosting exhibitions, artists talks and other events free from cost and commercial obligation.

  • We can maintain a high-quality exhibition space, which requires frequent re-painting interior alteration, lighting, and heating.

WHAT YOU WILL GET IN RETURN

In return for your support, we are offering a number of original artworks by past and future NFP exhibiting artists including drawings, prints, photographic editions, works on paper and other unique artworks at a heavily discounted cost. All works have been kindly donated to the space by participating artists and the founders of NFP.

Here are images of the works available. Please see the rewards for more details of specific works.
