Anyone that knows me, knows that I am an avid track cyclist/time triallist and love to ride anything on two wheels. We are currently experiencing a truly unprecedented and extremely testing situation with the Covid-19 outbreak, I have found myself truly inspired by many of the individuals selflessly raising money for excellent causes. None more so than our fantastic NHS, who are currently faced head-on with endangering their own lives trying to save others, and, I must add, without proper and sufficient PPE supplies.
I have found myself over the last few years (especially since having left the military) requiring their help on more than one occasion, and due to my time in the military, receiving preferential treatment from them, whilst at all times having been first class.
Therefore, in order to show my appreciation and gratitude, I have decided to raise as much money as I can by holding a static 12-hour solo bike ride. The idea being, to ride as far as possible, whilst raising as much money as possible. Due to most of my cycling being over much shorter distances, this is set to be the biggest physical challenge I have ever done. It will not only be a test of physical strength, but of dedication and motivation.
The event is set for Saturday 9th May, to start at 0700 and finish at 1900. So please give us much and as genrously as you can.
See you at the finish!!!
